Precision Meets Passion

Prathamesh Industries (India) Limited — known by our brand name Polymict — was founded in 1981 by Mr. R.M. Sukhatankar, an accomplished engineer with hands-on experience at Larsen & Toubro. Starting with a single thermoset molding unit, the vision was clear from the outset: manufacture components to a standard that critical industries can depend on.

Over the next four decades, that vision scaled. Units were added in Mumbai, Ahmednagar, and Nasik. Capabilities expanded from thermoset molding into sheet metal pressing, automat machining, tooling, and product assembly. Certification bodies and global OEMs began auditing our facilities — and consistently approving them.

In 1998, the second generation joined the business. Under the leadership of Mr. Chinmay Sukhatankar, Polymict entered a new chapter — one defined by strategic exports, SAP-backed operations, digital quality systems, and a focused push into new industries including green energy and automotive.

Today, from our multi-unit campus in MIDC, Ahilyanagar, Polymict operates as a Self-Certified Supplier to over 100 global OEMs. But the principles that shape every decision remain exactly what they were on day one.
